| Keloids
A keloid is an
over aggressively healed wound, resulting in an enlarged scar
often thick and raised above the skin (keloids are commonly referred to as plums, growing or proud flesh in the Caribbean).
Keloids can usually
be treated by injections, scar therapy materials (silastic
gel) and surgery.
